Romolo Chocolates follows United States government standards for food safety under the Food Safety Modernization Act.

For more than 29 years, we have used the highest quality and freshest ingredients in our candy making and consider it part of what makes Romolo Chocolates a favorite for so many.  Because we still make our confections by hand, we are able to monitor quality from the individual ingredient to the finished product.

We have been migrating to all-natural flavorings and continue to seek sustainably grown and made ingredients for our confections.

Our chocolatiers also remember our family history when cooking, using ingredients originally sourced by Romolo Stefanelli, the first of the family’s chocolatiers and confectioners.  Using the same ingredients continuously for nearly 100 years makes Romolo Chocolates a favorite of generations of families who may have been customers when Romolo made candy in his Erie home, and guarantees the exact same quality experience today as in 1926.

Allergy information:  All confections created at Romolo Chocolates are produced in our facility where we use and store peanuts, almonds, brazils, cashews, coconut, hazelnuts, macadamias, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, eggs, milk, soy and wheat.
