Dark Chocolate Adds Diabetes Prevention to Health Profile

A study published in the December 2024 issue of the British Medical Journal associated eating dark chocolate with a reduced risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, as cited by Alice Callahan writing in the Dec. 4, 2024, New York Times.
This new finding joins other dark chocolate noshing benefits like lowering the risk of high blood pressure and protecting the heart. But cacao content, or the percentage of actual chocolate in a treat, counts. Romolo dark chocolate is 55% cacao, and our bittersweet boasts 72% cacao.
Currently, one ounce is the recommended daily serving of delicious dark chocolate, full of natural phytonutrients and fiber.
